THE JOURNEYMAN

Introduction

Congratulations on signing up for The Journeyman

Course Objective

In the series of courses offered by the International Service Design Institute, The Journeyman was developed to offer learners models, tools and resources to build and improve a service. The backdrop is a user’s journey as the service unfolds to a satisfactory experience.

Going Forward

The Journeyman is divided into several modules. Each module includes self-paced topics, videos and quizzes. Upon completing the quizzes, you will qualify for a certificate of completion.

Throughout the course, there are links to reach us, should you need any help along the way.

What’s Covered?

We made a number of choices about what to include in The Journeyman based on helping learners build upon the user-centric approach defined in The
Apprentice
.

We also identify common models and tools that are part service design techniques such as: ideation methods, demand models, journey maps, service blueprints and touchpoints.

Learning Materials

We believe The Journeyman Course covers what we set out to do. However, there is a printed reference book, sold separately, that features much detail about the models and tools, plus case studies and worksheets.

You can begin viewing the course content modules as your first step. Use the left-hand navigation to click the module names. Under each module, you’ll see a set of topics and quizzes. To move to the next module, first complete each set of topics and take the quiz to assess your understanding.

We’d love to hear from you about your experiences, either during the course or afterward. We will get your feedback at info@internationalservicedesigninstitute.com.

Great success to you and to your careers.
